Hails from: Constantia, South Africa. Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
Cap Classique just means this was made in traditional method. The wine has a lovely fine mousse and a golden colour on appearance. Strange mixed aromas of syrupy green apple and pears. The palate is savoury orange and violets with a creamy mousse; on the finish is a slight hint of anise and pear juice. Mouth-coating and balanced – but just feels odd. Try as an aperitif with nuts.
