(how do my ratings work?)

Hails from: Penedes, Spain. Grapes: Chardonnay (75%), Parellada (15%), Macabeo and Xarel-lo (10%)

A very strange venture by one of Cava’s leading brands Cordoniu, drifting into the classic varietal of Champagne by creating a low dosage Blanc de Blancs with only 25% Cava varietals – the rest Chardonnay. Nevertheless it’s an attractive wine to taste. Racy mousse, medium gold in colour with aromas of apple skins. Very crisp with high acidity on the palate. Very fruit-led compared with other Cavas. Notes of green apple. Very aggressive mousse. An interesting wine…
