Hails from: Mosel Valley, Germany. Grapes: Riesling
Very attractive looking wine. Steady and consistent mousse, medium-intensity lemon in colour. The nose is aromatic, a little sweet – think honeysuckle – and floral. On the palate the wine is off-dry with hints of candied lime. There is a dosage that brings the wine to approx. 12-20g/litre residual sugar. White flowers, pear and lemon are also picked up. Very softly textured and searing-but-balanced acidity. Good length. It would be a top choice with fresh scallops.
