Hails from: Epanomi in Macedonia, Greece; Grapes: Chardonnay
Beautifully made Chardonnay with a respectful nod to White Burgundy but uniquely Greek. Evangelos Gerovassiliou is the winemaker behind this range of international varietal wines and the Malagousia indigenous variety. He focuses on low yield crop, which enhances the concentration, and then prolongs skin contact for structure. The wine is then barrel-fermented in new and seasoned oak. The result is a richly creamy Chardonnay with honeyed apple fruit and hints of nuts.
