Ben says
★★★ Outstanding Wine “Leather hide, blackberry, cloves and cumin dried spice. Ethereal on the palate, like a dancer, somehow deep and striking yet pure and lean. Long, layered and rolling on the finish. A pure joy.“
KEY POINTS
Varietal Mourvedre with 14.5% abv. According to Boudinaud, this is a single “plot selection from Bois de Brignon, [the] Mourvèdre is located on a Rhodanian terrace with multiple rolled pebbles.” These pebbles help to reflect up heat, provide drainage, and ensure a full but balanced ripening process.
Grown in: Rhone, FRANCE.
Food Pairing
Pair a big wine like this with a sirloin steak and thick cut chips.
