Ben says
★★ Great Wine “Blackcurrant, cassis, garringue, thyme, cured cherry, chocolate and vanilla. Plush and ripe, still young and bright. Soft, beautifully integrated tannins, defined fleshy fruit and a long finish. 14.5% abv but you’ll barely realise. Delicious!”
KEY POINTS
Grenache (60%), Syrah (20%) & Cinsault (20%) blend with 14.5% abv, aged in French oak for 18 months. Grapes grown on the right bank of the Rhone, planted at the foot of a hill forming a Villafranchian terrace.
Grown in: Rhone, FRANCE.
Food Pairing
Steak & ale pie and mash with a rich onion gravy wouldn’t go a miss. It’s also going to serve a platter of strong cheeses very nicely, as well as complementing Charcuterie and chunks of fresh sourdough bread.
