Ben says

★ Good Wine Spiced pear aromas with some oxidative notes from partial ageing in 15hl barriques. Zesty and peppery – in many ways classic Gruner – but with a richness to the wine’s viscosity. A long finish.

Ben Franks Wine Tasting Note Producer Profile

About the Producer

Elisabeth Pichler-Krutzler was raised around the vines of Wachau and set-up a winery with her husband Erich Krutzler in 2007. Their vines are on the banks of the Danube River and they hold around 13 hectares, practising low intervention in the vineyard and winery. The vineyards are mostly older vines, adding to the richness and character of each bottle.
