Ben says

★★ Great Wine Ruby flecked medium bodied red wine with aromas of sour cherries, dark chocolate, vanilla, clove, cinnamon and plum. Juicy but tight on the palate with grippy coarse tannins and vibrant acidity. Youthful and bright, this could develop further or drink now with food.

Guerrieri Rizzardi '3 Cru' Amarone della Valpolicella Red Wine

KEY POINTS

Varietal Sangiovese with 14.0% abv. Grown in the ‘Conca d’Oro’, aka ‘Golden Shell’ of Panzone. Malolactic fermentation and matured for 18 months in 225L French oak barriques.

Grown in: Chianti, Tuscany, ITALY.

Food Pairing

This Chianti is a little youthful, so its astringent tannins are offset nicely with fat. Beef chunk stew or a warming butter bean stew with Mediterranean spices will work well. A zing of tomato works well too.
