Ben says
★ Good Wine “Obviously Rioja with a very pretty ruby hue. Aromas of fresh strawberry, cherry, baking spice and fresh fruit. More savoury on the palate with herby green tannins nicely integrated around poached strawberries, black pepper, cardamom and clove. This wine is a moreish and reliable choice for Rioja fans.“
KEY POINTS
Tempranillo (85%) with Garnacha Tinta and Mazuelo. 13.5% abv. Steel vat fermentation followed by maturation in used American oak for one year.
Grown in: Rioja Alta, SPAIN.
Food Pairing
This is a Rioja I’d opt for if you just want a nice glass of red and a good natter. If you are going to drink it with food, keep it simple – pasta, pizza, grilled meats.
