Ben says
★★ Great Wine “Fresh on the nose with white citrus and bright, youthful acidity. Evidence of lees ageing gives it a creamy aroma as well. It’s a little closed at first, trapped by a touch of reduction from fruit-forward winemaking and long haul shipping. It’s medium bodied, light in alcohol, with lightening acidity. Notes of lemon pith, green pineapple and wood apple. Some stone fruits hint at its warmer growing climate in the Clare. It feels a bit limp on the finish but it’s nonetheless a yummy wine.“

KEY POINTS
Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon blend with 12.0% abv. Grown on the tough acidic soils that overlay the siltstone and slate formations of Polish Hill River vineyards.
Grown in: Clare Valley, AUSTRALIA.
Food Pairing
The wine’s more honeyed note, from the addition of ripe Semillon, makes it a perfect catch for some oily fish like mackerel or salmon.
