★ Good Wine Ruby going on garnet. Alluringly umami on the nose with shittake mushrooms over sweet balsamic and berries. Slight sandpaper tannins and a syrup-like texture open out into a fruity and soft red wine. The Touriga adds a good plug of ripe fruit.

Guerrieri Rizzardi '3 Cru' Amarone della Valpolicella Red Wine

Shiraz (53%), Grenache (38%) and Touriga Nacional (9%) with 14.0% abv. Varieties are crushed and fermented separately.

Grown in: Barossa Valley, AUSTRALIA.

Food Pairing

I would drink this red happily with blue cheese like Stilton and sticky fig chutney.

About the Producer

St Hallett is a well-regarded winery in the Barossa Valley, established in 1944 by the Lindner family. The family’s ancestors emigrated to the Barossa Valley region from central Europe in 1838 and today their St Hallett brand is synonymous with Shiraz wines from the region.
