Ben says
★★ Great Wine “The best red of Vinatigo’s line-up is this varietal Negramoll that brings all of that volcanic poise to the forefront with concentrated, fresh fruit like cherries and red plums. There is a complexity in the aroma like a fragrant black tea and gorgeous supple, tobacco-like tannins on the palate. Its finish is delicate but long and satisfying. A great wine.“

About the Producer
Winemaker Juan Jesús Méndez and the Vinatigo team started their winery in 1990 with the aim of reviving and celebrating the indigenous grape varieties available across the Canary Islands. The winery grows the popular island varieties Listán Blanco and Listán Negro, and the more rare Gual, Marmajuelo, Negramoll and Vijariego. They are committed to sustainability, building their winery using local materials and reducing their energy, with a low intervention approach to winemaking and a focus on quality.
