Ben says
★★ Great Wine “Vibrant Zweigelt with black cherry, chocolate, liquorice and spice from the nose right through to the finish on the palate. Its finesse is reflective of its artisan production and it avoids some of that leathery unpleasantness you can find in overworked Zweigelt. This is a great example of the grape variety.“
KEY POINTS
Varietal Zweigelt with 12.5% abv. Partial barrel fermentation and partial whole bunch fermentation makes up the final blend, which is then aged in Hungarian and French oak for 18 months.
Grown in: Bükk, HUNGARY.
Food Pairing
Characterful reds like this with a medium body are a good match to hearty meals like chicken paprikash stew, or try it with pasta and meatballs.
