Ben says
★★ Great Wine “Sometimes wine’s interesting. This is one of those. I’ve no doubt it’ll be a marmite wine and split people one way or another. For me, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Aromas of celeriac (stay with me, but think: sweetly perfumed herbaceous, earthy notes), green plum, lemongrass, honeycomb and cream. Bone dry with an oxidative, bruised sort of quality and a nice length. You almost get something different every time. This is a wine to spend some time with. “

About the Producer
Colet Navazos is a partnership between Sergi Colet and the members of Equipo Navazos to create sparkling wines inspired by sherry. The hypothesis is that sherry and Champagne share similar structural qualities, and both take a large degree of flavour from the activity of yeasts and oxidative winemaking. The best results of their dosage experiment with southern Penedes sparkling wines have been released to the market, such as this one, under their collaborative name.
