Ben says

★★★ Outstanding Wine I think they nailed this blend. Perhaps it was a good year? I don’t know enough about Moldovan vintages last decade to tell you – but this is exquisite. Ripe on the nose. All that plummy character you’d expect from Merlot. Oak integration is obvious, but not brutish. It’s a soft, spicy palate with dried fruits. Lighter from maturity. A nice kick of acidity keeps things fresh. Brilliant.

KEY POINTS

Cabernet Sauvignon, Saperavi & Merlot blend aged for 36 months in French oak with 13.5% abv.

Food Pairing

This is a cracking wine, but it’s going to sing alongside simple but delicious food. Put it with a quarter pounder, grilled on an open flame BBQ, in a quality bun with tomato and blue cheese. Delicious.
