Ben says
★★ Great Wine “I’ve had a few Welschriesling wines in my time, mostly under its synonym Olaszrizling from various Hungarian producers. This Czech Welschriesling – or Ryzlink Vlašský – is a very juicy and rounded style. Quince, apple and juniper combine over a lightly creamy and fresh palate. Some people mention honey, but I think it’s mainly fresh and fruit-driven and therefore super approachable.“
KEY POINTS
Varietal Welschriesling with 12.5% abv. Partially made with botrytis-affected grapes.
Grown in: CZECH REPUBLIC.
Food Pairing
Creamy prawn risotto would be a fine pairing for this wine!
