Ben says
★ Good Wine “Fragrant and intense nose, leaping out at you with sour cherry and blackberry coulis. Violets even. It’s certainly an alluring nose. On the palate its loud with tangy, farmy ‘natural’ tones, from sour plums to char and sweet clove. It’s a little chaotic or characterful, depending where you sit on wines like this, but I’d certainly drink it again.“

About the Producer
Winemaker Maxime Graillot has added 6.5ha to The Graillot family’s portfolio, incorporating Domaine des Lises. This is a cooler site and is used, among other small plots, for the Equis range. Maxime is making similarly lean, expressive Syrah wines as his father Alain Graillot was famous for.
