Ben says

★★ Great Wine Instantly interesting. The wine’s aromas start with pithy lemon and light passion fruit aromas. It’s juicy and waxy with apple, nettle and lychee notes. Almost tropical but pulled back by a fresh, herbaceous bite. It’s long and appealing in the mouth with the fruit bright from a cool ferment.

Guerrieri Rizzardi '3 Cru' Amarone della Valpolicella Red Wine

KEY POINTS

Varietal Chenin Blanc with 13.0% abv. A dry style of Vouvray that was wildly fermented with native yeasts and then aged on its lees for six months.

Grown in: Vouvray, Loire, FRANCE.

Food Pairing

I have tried Vouvray with butternut squash soup, finished with a crack of black pepper, and I’m not sure there’s a better pairing. However, Vouvray with its apple-sweet character is also a natural pairing for pork, especially with light spice like ginger or fresh chilli.
