Ben says
★ Good Wine “Deeply ruby red wine with garnet flecks, this Bordeaux has those classically mature notes from a wet vintage: mushroom, plum, balsamic strawberries, vanilla and wet wood. It’s cool and fresh on the palate with surprising buzz given its age. Gamey, minty and full of crunchy red fruits. It’s old school, toasty Claret and done pretty well. It has a sour-fresh finish. Some might find it thin, but I thought it was rather good.“

KEY POINTS

Grown in: Bordeaux, FRANCE.
Food Pairing
I enjoyed the leftovers of this wine with a fruity, tomato-filled Spanish Halloumi stew and freshly torn bread. It worked wonders.
